Au Petit chalet
Au Petit chalet brings a fun Swiss tradition called the Raclette to the European Christmas Market. Raclette is a traditional Swiss dish, also popular in other Alpine countries. Raclette comes from the French word that means “to scrape” and refers to both the type of cheese and the traditional Swiss dish it is served with.
Products Include:
Melted raclette cheese over potatoes and cornichons, with charcuterie or without it for a vegetarian option. We also serve a variety of flavored milk steamers, such as vanilla, chai, chocopop and more! We make our drinks with real milk for creaminess and authenticity.
Burbach’s European Pancakes
Traditional German Potato Pancakes are a vital part of every Christmas Market in Germany. Our authentic recipe originates from Braunschweig, Germany. You can watch Nick fry the Kartoffelpuffer as they are called in Germany on a flattop grill in oil until they achieve a deep brown crispy outer shell that gives way to an almost creamy interior. They are traditionally served with apple sauce but you can also enjoy them with sour cream. This year we are sourcing our apple sauce and cider from Pinetree Apple Orchard.
Our Schnitzel is a pounded pork cutlet which breaded and deep fried. You can enjoy it with a Jaegersauce (Hunter Mushroom Gravy) or fair style on a stick. To round it all up enjoy a warm Bavarian Pretzel from the Breadsmith!
Products Include:
Potato Pancakes with Sour Cream and Green Onion or Applesauce, Jaegerschnitzel, Pretzels, and Hot Cider.
